Prices
Our prices are per room rather than per person.
Bedroom 1 “Garth” is £35 per night (sleeps 1 or 2 guests)
Bedroom 2 “Panpwnton” is £35 per night (sleeps 1 or 2 guests)
Bedroom 3 “Kinsley” is £25 per night (sleeps 1 or 2 guests)
As experienced long-distance walkers we often longed to stop somewhere to take a break and have a relaxing rest day. As Knighton marks the half-way point of the Offa’s Dyke Path it’s an ideal place to take that break. We offer a large enclosed garden in which you can while away a quiet day and - unusually for a hostel – a bath to relax those aching muscles. You could potter around Knighton and sample the food and drink available at the local hostelries.
If you really want to spoil yourself on your rest day you could book a treatment at Elaine’s Beauty Spot - a few seconds walk away from Ffrydd House. Services include manicures, pedicures, reflexology and massage; they also offer foot spas! You generally need to book ahead so if you are interested please let us know and we can make a booking on your behalf.
On the arrival day the rooms are normally available from 15.00. On the departure day the rooms are normally available until 10.00.
Prices include bedlinen. Towels can be hired at a charge of £1 each.
To secure a booking a deposit of one night’s accommodation charge is required in advance by cheque or bank transfer.
We cannot accept credit/debit cards for payment of rooms. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Booking Conditions
We agree to:
- provide top quality accommodation in excellent condition and spotlessly clean from 15.00 on the day of arrival until 10.00 on day of departure
- provide beds made up. (If your stay is 7 days or longer, bedlinen will be changed part way through your stay and your room cleaned.)
You agree to:
- treat the hostel and its contents with care
- leave the hostel, especially the kitchen, in good order by 10.00 on the day of departure (unless a late departure has been agreed in advance)
- not smoke in the house or garden
- not bring animals to the property
- make no unnecessary noise after 23.00 to ensure the comfort of other guests
- sort all of your rubbish for recycling during your stay
Payment
Payment must be made in full at the time of booking. Bookings are not confirmed until full payment is received. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer. Sorry, we cannot accept credit cards.
Cancellation Policy
We do not have any cancellation charges. You can cancel your booking at any time, for any reason.
The amount of refund we can give you depends on whether we can re-let the room(s) booked for part or all of the period of cancellation i.e. the refund will vary from a full refund (less bank charges if relevant) where we are able to re-let for the whole period and the same price, to no refund if we cannot re-let at all. You receive back the amount we receive from re-letting, up to the full amount which we received from you.
Travel insurance is recommended and we will supply you with whatever documentation you need to make a claim if you are forced to cancel.
